Scholars in JPO represented the school by participating in the sate JPO competition garnering a score of 100%. AAES CFES buddy club (Library Club) raised money to take the JPO's ice skating to celebrate. They were chosen as community representatives to march in the Waipahu High School Homecoming Parade. They also did a fundraiser at Shakey's to pay for operational costs.

Each morning the JPOs arrived early to school to help protect the school community by assisting people at the crosswalk. They were featured on the tv show "Teach It, Hawaii". Students shared how lessons learned would help them in college and in their careers.
