Free Summer Meals for Children

August Ahrens Elementary School will offer FREE summer meals to all children 18 years old and younger through the USDA Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program.
 
Program Dates: Monday through Friday - June 9, 2026 to July 17, 2026
 
Location: J-Cafeteria

Meal Service Times:
  • Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
  • Lunch: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
No meal service on: June 11, 2026 and July 3, 2026 (State Holiday)

Important Information:
  • Children do not need to be enrolled in public school to participate.
  • All meals must be eaten on campus.
  • Grab-and-go meals are not available.
  • Adults are not allowed to take or eat food served to students even if the students do not plan to eat/drink the meal item(s)
  • Sharing school meals amongst children (enrolled/non-enrolled) is not allowed
The USDA Seamless Summer Option Program helps ensure that children continue to have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.
